Freshman Team Wins Tournament

The Freshman basketball team had an amazing run at the Knox High School Freshman Tournament.  This is even more of a feat when you take in the fact that the playing team consisted of only 5 players.

The team showed their mettle when defeating all other schools and taking the trophy.

Student Thoughts - The Perfect Smell

The Perfect Smell

My favorite smell in the whole world. Boy. When a boy walks past you and you can smell his cologne and it smells so good you want to follow him.

Student Thoughts - New Notifications on Facebook

New Notifications on Facebook

There's no shame in being a Facebook addict. Oh wait. Maybe there is. But let's face it. We all love attention. And no matter what we say, we all care what people think about us. That's why new notifications are so darn satisfying. When you log on and seethe little number next to the globe, all of your innermost needs are fulfilled. Somebody out there “likes” you. Someday has something to say about your post or your picture. There's nothing better. Awesome!!!

Student Thoughts - The cool side of a pillow

The cool side of a pillow

You've been lying in your bed for a little while and still can't fall asleep. You roll over and try 18 different positions, but still nothing. You're starting to get frustrated. You toss and turn, count the sheep, and try your grandma's recipe; warm milk. The tossing and turning doesn't work because as soon as you get comfortable, you make the slightest move and it's gone. Let's face it, WHEN HAS COUNTING SHEEP EVER WORKED??? You end up making your brain work more and then you start to think about what you have to do tomorrow and where you have to go. You wonder when you will get to sleep. That report you STILL have to do. And then there was milk. Warm milk. HA yeah right. It's icky, and you can't resist the temptation of those delicious cookies in the pantry. Hmmm.....I have the milk, BUT I WANT COOKIES! And then you're hyper from the rush of being able to eat cookies at 4am that you might as well stay up! But, you realize you have to get SOME sleep so you lay down again and your pillows all hot from your face laying on it, so you decide to turn it over. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh. And in an instant, you're asleep.
