Why is there a tractor outside KHS Today?

As part of FFA week students get the opportunity to drive their tractors to school. Beau Bennett, Kayla Bailey, and Dakota Wolber pose with the latest equipment.  The snowy day was no problem for the KHS FFA.

KHS does not have an FFA program so our students participate in the Oregon Davis FFA. Thanks to our school we can still get to be a part of a lot of the fun.

The Case IH MX305 tractor was driven by Beau Bennett. This tractor is used around the family farm to do tasks like disking, planting and other tasks it is needed for. With 304 hp this tractor can do just about anything you need it to. Its 24 valve engine runs on diesel fuel. The weight of this massive tractor is around 20,630 to 33,415 pounds. A larger tractor than this one would be a Case IH Magnum 335 and a smaller tractor would be a Case lH Magnum 275.

What is FFA? Future Farmers of America(FFA) was founded in 1928. It brings together students, teachers and agribusiness to better the agricultural education. It all started when 33 young farm boys decided to chart and course their future. Since then millions of students all over the United States have followed in their footsteps.

Student Thoughts - Out Smarting My Older Sister

Out Smarting My Older Sister

She was valedictorian, I'm seventeenth in my class. She got the Lilly Endowment, I don't get an allowance.

Her: “12/4=4

Me: “No, 12/4=3

Her: “Oh....right.”

AWESOME!!!

Student Thoughts - That “S” thing

That “S” thing

We all remember those days, the ones way back in elementary school when that “S” thing just appeared. Everyone learned how to make it and you just watched and stared as you tried to make that “S” thing. You didn't know what it even way; you just wanted to fit in. You thought you'd feel a little gangster or maybe just like superman if you could draw that “S”thing. So you tried it over and over and always seemed to fail. Then you learned the tricks to make it, and your like was never dull. Because now you could doodle on your notebook or even on the bus window with that “S” thing and now every time you drew that thing a great feeling would occur. You where now a master at drawing that “S” thing... AWESOME!
